NP Motors: more time for customers, less time on admin.
At NP Motors in Enfield, owner Niroj and the team use MechAxis to connect the front desk, the workshop floor and the customer. Online bookings, tablet inspections, approved repairs, invoices and Zeller payments now follow the same service workflow.

At least 30% less admin time
Reported by NP Motors over three months using MechAxis.
The result measures time spent on administration. For the team, that means more time available to help customers and keep work moving through the workshop.
A clearer picture. Less administration.
Niroj wanted a clearer picture of the business: income, expenses, how customers were paying and where those customers came from. Alongside that visibility, the team needed to reduce the administrative work around each service visit.
The aim was practical: give staff a clear record to work from, make it easier to explain and price repairs, and keep the work done on each car available for its next visit. MechAxis brought those parts of the day together.
One service visit, from booking to payment.
The booking starts the record
Online bookings enter the MechAxis diary with the customer, vehicle and requested work. The front desk can plan the visit and carry those details into the job card, so the workshop starts with the same information the customer supplied.

Technicians use a tablet to open the job card, follow the inspection and record findings with photos and notes. The service team can send the digital inspection report directly to the customer, giving them a clearer view of what the workshop found.

Inspection findings stay connected to the work being quoted. The service team prices the recommended repairs and sends the customer a secure approval link. Customers can review the proposed work, and the team can see what has been approved. That shared record gives NP Motors greater confidence when explaining a quote and preparing the work.

The job card carries the approved work through the workshop. Technicians record their tasks and notes on the tablet, while parts and labour stay attached to the repair. The front desk has the information it needs to review the completed work and prepare the invoice.

At collection, the team sends the payment amount from the MechAxis invoice to its paired Zeller EFTPOS terminal. The customer pays at the terminal, and the approved payment is recorded against the invoice. The payment settles to the workshop's own Zeller account, with the invoice and its payment status kept together in MechAxis.

The visit leaves a record of the inspection, approved repairs and work completed against the vehicle. When that car returns, the team can look back at previous findings and service records. The next conversation starts with the work already done and the recommendations still relevant to that car.

The connected workflow also gives Niroj a clearer view of the workshop's day. Revenue, payments received and the mix of payment methods can be reviewed together, while customer geography shows where the workshop's customers are located.
Parts purchasing and supplier bills keep recorded workshop costs visible alongside the work. Together with the service records, that gives the team more useful information for quoting, invoicing and reviewing the business.

For NP Motors, the change is felt at both sides of the counter. Staff spend less time on administration. Customers receive inspection findings, can review the proposed repairs and leave with a record of the completed work. Niroj and the team have a service history they can return to when the same vehicle comes back.
This story describes NP Motors' experience. The reduction in admin time is reported by the workshop over three months; results will depend on each workshop's starting point and use of MechAxis.
